ABOUT CARLEY
Carley Pineda is a first generation college graduate from Cal State LA who loves to primarily write in the form of genre-fiction and screenwriting. Born and raised in Los Angeles with a Latino background, she enjoys making her nightmares come to life with her horror/thriller pieces through her unique perspective on the Salvadoran-Mexican point of view. She has an emphasis on family values and strong morals intertwined into her themes to create authentic characters and realistic story arcs.
Backstory & Education:
Being an LA native, film culture was easily weaved into my life. My dad raised me to appreciate movies and tv shows in a different way than most of the people around me. Mr. Myagi and Coach Taylor helped me throughout my growing years to become the strong, passionate, and the independent woman that I am today. Now I aspire to thrill others and be apart of the reason that people are excited to go back to the theaters or count down the days until the next season of their favorite show comes back.
I went to high school at Cleveland High School in Reseda, Community College at Pierce in Woodland Hills, and finished my Bachelor's at California State University, Los Angeles in East LA, class of 24'. I am also currently pursuing a Master's degree at Cal State LA in Television, Film, and Theater with a writing emphasis.
